This is a very neglected topic. I have found a memoir of a tanker in Viet Nam and I was extremely surprised about the extent of armored operations.
It's good to see this aspect of COIN in jungle terrain finally getting more attention.
Indeed it has been over looked for the most part, with the possible exception of the author
of the Hammers Slammers books, David Drake who was a tanker in Nam, and you get the feel of authenticity that you can only get from a vet.
