Is that structured along the lines of any particular country? And if so what era? If you'd like some input from someone that was in a late 20th century Armored Cavalry Regiment (USA) and an independent Cavalry Squadron (Motorized) I'd be happy to add my two cents.
I'll take all the ideas I can have!
This was an idea they were kicking around out at NTC and DA, if you haven't guessed I'm retired army
myself (Field Artillery. This idea was also largely influenced by what is in my collection and not wanting to buy too much more support stuff! It also is playable with the war game system I use.
But if you have any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them.
Don
I got you on the playing with what you've got and not wanting to add to the collection. Your layout though is armor heavy and more akin to an armor brigade. I'd lean more on a 3 x CFV company and 1 x armor company mix per squadron.
I agree it's armor heavy, but you do realize that each tank and AFV
is a company? All this came from
the old Series 78 ideas. These were
pre made scaled down units sold back in the late 70s early 80s, the idea being to represent as much of a real MTO as possible without over crowding the table.
