Sorry I've been very quiet through most of August - I have been working away "behind the scenes" replacing stock after the Summer Sale and generally getting things ready for the Autumn shows, which start with COLOURS at Newbury Racecourse on SATURDAY 15th SEPTEMBER - just a couple of weeks away now! More detail on the show itself next week.
There will be some NEW PRODUCTS ready for the show, and available for mail-order shortly afterwards - some new 15mm of course, but also the first major release of NEW FT STARSHIPS for some time: the first of the RE-DESIGNED KRA'VAK fleet, which are looking wonderful - all-new 3D design work by MMG, but still very much in keeping with the old original K'V ship designs. The old style ships will be retired from the store as the new ones come into production, BUT they will (mostly) remain available to special order for any of you who wish to complete old-style fleets. The new designs, while being greatly improved in terms of detail and fit of parts (and with many more variants!) are still sufficiently close in size and general appearance to the old types that it will be perfectly possible to mix the two in the same force without them looking odd. I think you will all like the new-style ships, I'm certainly very happy with them!
One other note, I am away for a few days from early tomorrow (30th August) till late on Sunday (2nd Sept) - hence any orders placed in the next couple of days will not be dealt with until the start of next week; I will not have access to email while away, so any queries sent will also not be responded to until I'm back.
Thanks for reading, please check again for more news after the weekend!
This is a large lot of 15mm sci-fi models in resin and metal. Most of it is from Clear Horizon Miniatures but there are some large mechs from Prodos Games. Assumed complete but not sure as most has never been taken out of bags. I know for a fact there’s an apc missing a rear hatch as I had pulled it out and dry fit it. The two super heavy tanks alone are worth $70 and the entire lot is worth in excess of $300 I think. I just want it gone. Suitable for games like Gruntz or Tomorrow’s War and such.
There are infantry, apcs, drop ships, tanks, fighter aircraft, drop pods, mechs of differing size and armament.
I ship the first business day after receiving payment
On the eve of the one hundredth anniversary of the beginning of WWI, this mockumentary - employing "archival footage", and interviews with "historians", "researchers" and those directly involved - tells of the Great Martian War (1913-1917), which supplants what looked to have been an imminent great war between Germany and the rest of Europe. The Germans asked their adversaries for help when the Martians invaded Earth via a remote field in southern Germany. The Martians went on the attack first in Germany, then moved west throughout the rest of continental Europe, with the ultimate threat of crossing the channel into Britain. The Martians also took their fight into the waters around Europe. They employed animal-like machines in their battles, the human race which coined the respective machines as "herons", "lice" and "spiders" most closely resembling such animals, each which had their own seeming purpose in the war. The presentation of the ebbs and flows in the human defensive against the Martians discuss what, in hindsight, looked often to be the Martians' luring humans into a longer term goal. Ultimately, the war officially ended when human discovered what was an Achilles heel in the Martian offensive, but ultimately not without great consequence to the human race. Researchers in present day still study the war, with one such researcher, Lawrence Mark, examining the recently found diary of Canadian First Nations soldier Gus Lafonde by his great-granddaughter, Kim Lafonde, most specifically with regard to some Martian code which Mark, in using the code to decipher Martian writing from the time, posits that the Martians had a greater plan than what was initially thought.
As avid aviation fans, especially of those vintage aircraft, hearing a new World War II movie about air battles is coming out is quite exciting. Unfortunately, we might have to pump our excitement brakes for the movie that’s about to hit theaters on October 26th, 2018.
Called Unbreakable Spirit, this movie revolves around the attacks on Chongqing during World War II between 1939 and 1943. During that time, the Japanese raided the city almost 300 times making it quite a historical point in history. It was part of Japan’s terror bombing operations during which they dropped more than 11,500 incendiary bombs on residential areas such as schools, hospitals and residential dwellings.
The year is 2016. The place is New Port City. The Tank Police are still waging a desperate war on crime, and their tactics are still highly questionable. Mayor Weatherby is trying to pass a bill banning certain weapons from the city, which makes her a target of the Dai Nippon Geiken Corporation, who are now manufacturing mobile weapons that even the Tank Police may not be able to stop. Dai Nippon Geiken is also connected with the murder of Leona Ozaki's former partner, Charon Ishira, making the battle all the more personal for the Tank Police's number one officer, who will stop at nothing to avenge her partner. But can she pay the high price revenge calls for? Written by billytaylor599@msn.com
At 7:45 a.m. on June 5, 1967, Israel launched the most successful preemptive air strike in military history. Within a few hours, virtually the entire Egyptian Air Force lay in smoldering wreckage. Fighting on three fronts, against the combined might of five different armies, Israel secured a stunning victory in a mere six days. How did this tiny state manage to overcome an Arab enemy that had twice as many soldiers, three times as many tanks, and four times as many airplanes? With firsthand testimony from combatants and military planners plus access to key figures in the intelligence world, we gain insight into the meticulous preparations that the Israeli military undertook in the 1960s. Field-testing of key Israeli weapons and analysis of battlefield strategy on both sides show how this extraordinary victory was achieved.

John Boyega (Star Wars series) is the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity's victory against the monstrous "Kaiju." Now an even more fearsome alien threat has been unleashed on the world and Jake is called back into action by his former co-pilot, Lambert (Scott Eastwood), and a 15-year-old Jaeger hacker, Amara (Cailee Spaeny). Rising up to become the most powerful defense force to ever walk the earth, they will set course for a spectacular all-new adventure on a towering scale.
At the Reigate club we have been keen WW2 players for many years and were looking for something a bit different and we designed a few scenarios that assumed war had broken out between the Soviets and Western Allies in 1946. One game involved the liberation of Poland. Being inveterate kit builders we began to look at modern tanks etc and one thing lead to another so we decided to stretch the “Poland idea” a bit further, into the 1970s/80s. 1/76th and 1/72nd modern kits were purchased and over a year substantial forces were built up (approx 200 tanks and APCs and many planes and helicopters). Using the fictional background a more varied mix of tanks and aircraft etc can be used, great to get those keen kit builders involved!
When one thinks of Japanese animation, odds are one of the first
things that spring to mind are images of giant robots destroying
cities and fighting each other.
While that's hardly the summation of the entire anime genre, there
certainly are a variety of anime series and movies that do contain
just that. Here are our top 19 anime series and movies that contain
robots doing what we love best. Mecha
