Warhammer 40,000? NO!! It's Stargrunt 2!!

Stargrunt II is a comprehensive set of generic rules for simulating science-fiction infantry combat in virtually any background. The system covers actions from a few squads up to full company level. Rules are included for infantry, powered armored troops, AFV's, artillery and aerospace support and much much more. The game is designed for use with 25mm or 15mm scale miniatures. The game has a flexible integrated game sequence, minimal record keeping and a brilliant system of distinguishing troop quality. The game encourages the players to think tactically. There are rules for troop confidence, motivation, suppression and much more.

This game is now available as a free download from Ground Zero Games.

Having Fun With Classic Army Men!

When my son was younger (11 to 15) we used use STARGRUNT II with his horde of army men by the simple expedient of doubling the ranges …..worked quite well and taught him the system .

IKWEN By Loud Ninja Games

WHO ARE THE IKWEN?

If you are new to the Ikwen or its been a while, let me introduce you to a race that is fighting for its own freedom and the preservation of its species. Envisioned as a range of miniatures to represent one side of an asymmetric conflict the Ikwen are intended to be pitted against any other species or faction 15mm players might have in their collections. To this end, the miniatures are depicted with mostly mid-tech weaponry, the sort that might be cobbled together or acquired in great numbers from sources outside the conflict much in the same way that we see the AK-47 used in modern day warfare. I have worked hard to make sure the Ikwen show some sort of specific culture in their sculpts, even if that is just the minimal cloths they wear between their legs and the sorts of gear they carry. The Ikwen are a miniatures range, designed to tell a story.

Board The Berserker!

I figured as I have a few sets of the old Space Hulk tiles and others, that I should be able to simulate the interior of one of the Berserkers. Then have the human attack shuttles and breaching craft land and fight off the robotic guard. This would be a sort of capture the flag scenario with several player/teams taking part, first to capture the core wins.

Building on the old Starship Marine ideas: Starship Marines

I've been kicking this idea around for a few years and have managed to get enough
Robots (clankers) to pull it off!

GZGs Verse

Back in the late 90s (Gods has it been that long...lol) we would run a campaign using all three GZGs systems, we'd start out fighting for system control with Full Thrust, then do a pre-landing (Special Ops) mission with Stargrunt in 25s, then run the main planetary invasion/defense with Dirtside in 6mm, the advent of 15mm troops lets me cut out a step or two.....Thank you Jon (and others) for adding to the addiction ! This is what was used to run the campaign: This is the current Full Thrust/Stargrunt II astropolitical map, showing all the currently assigned empires, canonical and non-canonical. It is in *.gif format. This map will be subject to frequent updates, so be sure to check the "last modified" date at the top. It is based on Map 2. Note that it says "non-canonical" at the top.

Out Rim Coalition Power Armor Squad

Just picked up from Dick McGee : Painted 15mm scale metal heavy power armor unit with a lance of light mech suits in support from Ground Zero Games' Stargrunt range.  Intended for use as a starship assault boarding team, with the "little" power armor guys sweeping corridors and key control rooms while the heavier mech suits make the initial breaches if needed and then concentrate on the larger equipment spaces, cargo holds, and hangers.  Includes 6 ORC power armor troopers with thruster packs, shoulder missile & rocket pods, and a mix of PA weaponry backed up by four Cyclops mech suits (roughly size 1 walkers in Stargrunt terms) with a mix of weapons.

Soldier

Kurt Russell stars as an elite warrior selected at birth for combat, stripped of his individuality and isolated from society. Todd (Russell) stoically adheres to one overriding principle--kill or be killed--until he is defeated in combat by Caine 607 (Jason Scott Lee), the best of the next generation of Soldier.

Clear Horizon Miniatures Ebay Find

From seller:What you see is what you get.

This is a large lot of 15mm sci-fi models in resin and metal. Most of it is from Clear Horizon Miniatures but there are some large mechs from Prodos Games. Assumed complete but not sure as most has never been taken out of bags. I know for a fact there’s an apc missing a rear hatch as I had pulled it out and dry fit it. The two super heavy tanks alone are worth $70 and the entire lot is worth in excess of $300 I think. I just want it gone. Suitable for games like Gruntz or Tomorrow’s War and such.
There are infantry, apcs, drop ships, tanks, fighter aircraft, drop pods, mechs of differing size and armament.

I ship the first business day after receiving payment

Not too bad for $100.00!
