The Free Cal-Tex fleet philosophy follows
20th century American naval tradition by
the use of carrier battle groups.
*************************
At present there are only four carrier battle
groups in service, with two more under
construction.As a consequence the FCT
is very careful in their deployment.
*************************
In keeping with the Free Cal-Tex practice
of sticking a finger in the NACs' eye the
principle capital ship the Space Carrier
Vehicle of the Lexington class are named
for American revolutionary battles.
*************************
In Service:
LEXINGTON SCVN 1800
BUNKER HILL SCVN 1801
SARATOGA SCVN 1802
YORKTOWN SCVN 1803
*************************
Under Construction:
VALLEYFORGE SCVN 1804
TICONDEROGA SCVN 1805
*************************
The SCVN of the Lexington class are very
powerful craft with a large complament of
fighter and bomber craft and also a well
equipped Marine task force.
*************************
All other craft in a FCT Carrier Battle Group
(CBG) are to support and protect the SCVN.
A typical CBG will have the one SCVN
with four to six destroyers, and six frigates,
two cruisers, one battlecruiser/space control
ship, and up to two light carriers.
