Hanriot HD.1

 

 

The Hanriot HD.1 was a World War I single-seat fighter aircraft, combining clean lines with a light wing loading. Manufactured in France, the HD.1 was supplied to the Belgian and the Italian air forces, and it proved highly successful. It was flown by a number of the famous aces, such as Belgian Willy Coppens and Italians Mario Fucini and Silvio Scaroni.

The Caproni Ca.3 was an Italian heavy bomber that saw extensive use against the Central Powers forces. It was used from 1916 until the end of war by Italy, United Kingdom, France and USA. One of the most effective bombers of any air force during WWI, the Ca.3 was a wooden three-engine biplane, armed with twin 6.5 mm or 7.7 mm machine guns and 1,760 lb of bombs.

Bombastian National Colors

After a prolonged illness the greatly beloved king Stanislav IV
passed away while his son Stanislav V was at university in
England. During the last kings illness the Minster of war 
Boris Badnick was appointed Prime Minister and also assumed
the roles of Minister of the Interior and Chancellor of the
Exchequer. This effectively gave him all the power within the
government. During the several years of the late king's
convalescence Badnick consolidated his hold on power and
created the NISP the dreaded National Internal Security Police
that report directly to him.

The New King Stanislav V came home with the news of his father's
death for his coronation,it was decided that he finish his studies and
then assume his full responsibilities after graduation as he had less
than a year to complete. It was also felt that as the new king who was
not yet married nor even betrothed, that every step be taken so that the
royal line be sustained and a proper match be found for the new king.

The real power in Bombastia is His Excellency Boris Badnick, he
controls all non ceremonial aspects of the state. In the last ten years
he has cemented his power with family appointments to various
civil government and military positions, his eldest son Vasili now
Commands the Royal Guard for example.

The modern Bombastian army is made up of three corps of 50 percent Regular and Reserve troops, as well as the smaller Royal Guard Corps which also serves as the training establishment of the Bombastian army. *********************************** The Royal Guard Corps consists of 3 battalions of infantry and a number of attached company sized elements. Number one battalion is the 3rd and 4th year class of the Bombastian Officer Academy. The unit was established in the fall of 1893 based in the Doritsonov region where it is still to this day.
