Hi all, first (and most importantly) I hope that you and yours are safe and healthy and are getting through the current “lockdown”…. I’ve just posted this new info update to the front page of the store:

IMPORTANT: GENERAL INFO ON THE CURRENT SITUATION!
In the current virus-lockdown situation I’m trying to carry on as close to normal as possible - as I work on my own anyway, very little has changed in real terms. At present the Post Offices are still open and the delivery networks are still running OK, which means that I can still dispatch orders and you should still receive them as normal - the only real difference is that some may take a day or two longer for me to dispatch, because I will be limiting my number of trips out to the Post Office to maybe a couple of times a week (combined with shopping for food and essential supplies) rather than mailing things every day as I normally do. Larger orders, which I now often ship via FedEx or similar carriers anyway, will still be collected from me on a regular basis.
So, at least for the present I can still get your new shinies to you - and you KNOW that you need them - and as long as folks continue to order then I should be able to continue dispatching, giving you lots of lovely stuff to build and paint while you are stuck indoors, getting your armies and fleets ready for the day (hopefully soon) when we can all start meeting face to face again and actually playing games!
But, like all self-employed and small traders at this difficult time, of course I DO NEED YOUR ORDERS to get through this… the loss of SALUTE will leave quite a big hole in my expected sales, and to help with that I will be running a number of different limited-time sales and special offers over the coming weeks, focussing on a different part of my range each time; the first of these will be announced in the next day or so, please check back here shortly for full details.

GZG UPDATE - SUNDAY 11th February 2018:

 

We will be at HAMMERHEAD on the 3rd March!

 

For the first time, we will be attending the HAMMERHEAD show at Newark Showground on Saturday March 3rd; we will be in the main building (the George Stephenson Hall).

 Since the demise of Sheffield Triples, I have been very conscious of the fact that we haven't been doing any shows north of London, and this means we have missed out on seeing a whole lot of regular and new customers - so, this year we are venturing North of Watford Gap as far as Newark - and we really hope that we will see many of the old faces that we used to meet at Triples, plus hopefully a lot of new people who may not have had the chance to attend a show where we are trading. All reports say that HAMMERHEAD is a very good show, and well worth getting along to - the only reason we haven't been along before has been clashes with other (non-GZG-related) things - so we really hope to see lots of you there!

 As usual, we will be bringing as much stock as possible of our best sellers, the 15mm ranges (V15, SG15, Moongrunt etc) and the "major" Full Thrust fleets (NAC, NSL, FSE, ESU, Crusties, Merchants, UNSC, Japanese, ScanFed, Phalon and Sa'Vasku) - lack of space both in the van and on the tradestand means that I CANNOT bring stocks of the 25mm ranges, the 6mm, or the other smaller FT fleets.

Should you wish us to bring along a pre-order for you of any of those ranges, that can be arranged, but PLEASE email me (Jon) with as much notice as possible before the date of the show - to leave me enough time to cast them up, any pre-orders should be with me by Sunday 18th Feb at the latest please.

 With the show only three weeks away, I am having to spend a lot of time getting stock levels back up after the Christmas and New Year orders rush - so while I shall still be trying to keep mailorders as up to date as possible, please understand that there may be some minor delays - especially on orders for ranges that I'm not casting up for show stock.

I hope to have a batch of NEW RELEASES to launch at HAMMERHEAD, which will then be available for mailorder as soon as possible after the show - then just a month later it will be time for SALUTE, more details about that later!  There will be more info on the Hammerhead releases very shortly….

GZG UPDATE - SUNDAY 31st DECEMBER 2017:

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all, and the NEW YEAR DISCOUNT VOUCHERS are NOW LIVE!
The 2018 NEW YEAR VOUCHERS are now all LIVE, please read the notes below on how to redeem them. Please don't forget this this time they are valid for JANUARY ONLY - normally they are valid for Jan and Feb, but I've had to reduce that this time because of several commitments in early March for which I will need time to prepare.

HOW TO REDEEM YOUR VOUCHER CODE:
If you have been sent a New Year voucher in your pre-Christmas order, it will have a unique handwritten code on it in the form of TWO UPPERCASE LETTERS followed by a FOUR DIGIT NUMBER; you need to enter the code in exactly that format, with NO spaces - please be careful to distinguise between the letter "O" and a zero "0", and likewise between an uppercase "I" and the digit "1". When you have put all the items you want to order into your basket, go to the "View Basket" step; here you will see a box marked "PROMOTIONAL CODE OR GIFT CARD" - you need to enter your voucher code in that box, and then click the purple button marked "UPDATE BASKET".
If you have done this correctly, you should then see the relevant % discount (10% or 20% depending on your voucher value) shown in RED and deducted from the order subtotal. IF THIS DOES NOT APPEAR, PLEASE DO NOT COMPLETE OR PAY FOR THE ORDER, but email me (jon@gzg.com) and I should be able to sort out the problem for you.
If the discount % shows correctly, then simply proceed to complete and pay for the order as normal. Please note that the % discount does NOT apply to the shipping costs (sadly, the products don't get lighter to post when they are discounted!), but it does of course reduce the VAT amount (where applicable) by the relevant %.
Please note that your voucher code may only be used ONCE - and the store will consider it "used" as soon as you proceed to the checkout stage, even if you then leave it as a pending order. Should you encounter any problems during the payment stage, or realise that you've made an error with your order and need to try again, then please email me immediately and I will be able to re-set your code so that you can have another go!
If anyone has not yet received their pre-Christmas order with the voucher enclosed (some didn't ship out till the week just gone, and others may be taking a while to get through overseas postal systems), but wants to place their new order immediately, then I will be able to give you your voucher code via email on request. Christmas dispatch times and ordering dates, and Christmas/New Year break:
Throughout the pre- and post-Christmas period, I will be trying to keep as much up to date with order dispatches as possible - but please understand that things can get VERY busy and some orders may well take a few days longer than normal to be shipped out. If there are any serious delays then I will try to let you know where possible.
Obviously we are all at the mercy of the postal services as to delivery times - but we would strongly recommend that international orders (especially for Australia, NZ etc) are placed no later than the first week of December if you want any real hope of them arriving before Christmas. With some larger orders it is possible to ship them via parcel courier (UPS etc) rather than by airmail, the couriers are faster and with much better online tracking - if you want me to do this, or just want more details on this shipping option, please ask when you place the order.
I will continue to dispatch orders up to Friday 22nd of December - after that date we will be CLOSED for the Christmas/New Year break, re-opening on Tuesday 2nd January 2018. The online webstore will remain "open" throughout the Christmas period so you can still place orders, but no orders will be processed and dispatched until after the 2nd of January.

OFFICIAL - GZG: COLOURS (Newbury) show in two days…..

UPDATE - THURSDAY 14th SEPTEMBER 2017:
"COLOURS" IS GETTING CLOSER....!
Well, everything is now pretty much ready for COLOURS on the 16th, tomorrow I'll get the van loaded and be off down to Newbury Racecourse.... hopefully we'll see a lot of faces old and new on Saturday. This year we should be back on the GROUND FLOOR again, it'll be nice not to have to take all the metal stock up in the lifts!

There are some NEW RELEASES for the show - just a few, but they're very nice - all for the ISLAMIC FEDERATION forces, we have new packs in traditional headdress styles, some in the Keffiyeh (worn "Lawrence of Arabia" style with the Agal rope circlet round the head) and some in the Shemagh style with the cloth worn as a turban, both with and without it wrapped across the face for sand and dust protection. The IsFed "Treadbike" (half-tracked motorbike) is also now available with rider and pillion rifleman with the Shemagh style headgear. These new variants can simply be mixed in with the regular helmeted IsFed troops for a bit of variety, or used separately for irregular and insurgent forces. For those of you who can't make it to the show, the new releases will be up on the store as soon as I've been able to catch up with outstanding orders - hopefully sometime in the coming week.

I've also managed to pack up some ready-made 15mm Starter Army boxes (at £36 each, containing around £42-£45 value of minis) for some of the newer forces as well as the usual old favourites - in addition to the usual NAC, NSL, FSE, UNSC, Japanese, Crusties etc, we will have Starter Packs for the Islamics, the Eurasian Union Naval Infantry, the Colonial Defence Forces, the Pan-Africans and the Brethren of the New Light!

We will be doing out usual "show-only" special offer of any TWO boxes of 15mm starter forces for just £60, which gets you almost £90 worth of minis at regular list prices, so you can either get yourself a complete two-army setup or else get together with a friend and both save!
