Tanker's Tuesday :40MM Nimród

The 40M Nimród was based on the chassis of the Hungarian 38M
Toldi tank, which was itself based the Swedish Landsverk L-60B
tank; however the chassis of the Nimród was longer and had 6 rollers
per side (the Toldi chassis had 5). The vehicle had a crew of six men:
commander, driver, two loaders and two gunners.

and very difficult to photograph as he never stops moving...)

Turán I was a Hungarian tank of World War II - a total of 424 were made in two variants: Turan I with a 40 mm gun and Turan II with a 75 mm gun. It was based on the design of the Czechoslovak Škoda T-21 medium tank prototype.

Tanker's Tuesday: Cruiser Mk VIII Challenger

The Tank, Cruiser, Challenger (A30) was a British tank of
World War II. It mounted the 17 Pounder gun on a chassis
derived from the Cromwell tank to add heavier anti-tank
firepower to the cruiser tank units.

The design compromises made in fitting the large gun onto
the Cromwell chassis resulted in a tank with a powerful
weapon, but with less armour. The extemporised Sherman
Firefly conversion of the US-supplied Sherman to take the
17 pounder was easier to produce and, combined with delays
in production, meant that only 200 Challengers were built.
However, it was able to keep up with the fast Cromwell tank
and was used alongside them.

Tanker's Tuesday: Tank, Cruiser, Comet I

The Tank, Cruiser, Comet I (A34) was a British cruiser tank that
first saw use near the end of World War II. It was designed to provide
greater anti-tank capability to Cromwell tank squadrons. It was armed
with the 77mm HV which was effective against late war German tanks
and a superior weapon to the 75mm gun of the Panther when firing
APDS rounds. As a development of the Cromwell, it was an interim
design before the Centurion tank.

The Comet saw post World War II combat during the Korean war, and
remained in British service until 1958. Comets sold to other countries
continued in some cases to operate into the 1980s.
