Texas Independence Day

A reminder from our good friend J Womack, Esq from Scattergun Gamer: http://thescattergungamer.blogspot.com/
Today is Texas Independence Day. On March 2, 1836, Texas declared its independence from Mexico. Seven weeks later, on April 21, 1836, a treaty was signed by President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna (the self-styled "Napoleon of the West"), recognizing Texan independence.
Happy Birthday to my fellow proud Texans!

Was out at the store later in the day told someone that it was Texas Independence day,
he remarked that it was 80 yesterday and 25 today with freezing rain...he went on to say
"perhaps President Santa Anna's heart really wasn't into the fight" ;-)
