Tiger II is the common name of a German heavy tank of the
Second World War. The final official German designation was
Panzerkampfwagen Tiger Ausf. B,
often shortened to
Tiger B.
The ordnance inventory designation was
Sd.Kfz. 182.
It is also
known under the informal name
Königstiger (the German name
for the "Bengal tiger"), often semi-literally translated as the
King Tiger or
Royal Tiger by Allied soldiers.

On a personal note, it has always amazed me considering the
relatively small number of these monsters produced, how they
seem to make up a disproportionate number of forces on the
games table . No idea why that would be. ;-)

Not only are there usually more of them than there should be but they are also usually dug in up hill...lol
You're not a 'proper' Wargamer unless you own three times the actual production run in at least two scales. And a load of Jagdtigers....
I'm not even that bad lol
Tim spoken like a TRUE war gamer!
And Don, yes you are! lol

*Sigh* That's me called out then. I own one Panther, and the Maus was bought for me by a friend as a joke , 'cos he knows that I will be 70 before NQM reaches Berlin :O)
