Out Rim Coalition Power Armor Squad

Just picked up from Dick McGee : Painted 15mm scale metal heavy power armor unit with a lance of light mech suits in support from Ground Zero Games' Stargrunt range.  Intended for use as a starship assault boarding team, with the "little" power armor guys sweeping corridors and key control rooms while the heavier mech suits make the initial breaches if needed and then concentrate on the larger equipment spaces, cargo holds, and hangers.  Includes 6 ORC power armor troopers with thruster packs, shoulder missile & rocket pods, and a mix of PA weaponry backed up by four Cyclops mech suits (roughly size 1 walkers in Stargrunt terms) with a mix of weapons.

UD-4L Cheyenne Dropship - Model Turnaround

This limited edition item is not eligible for use with promo codes or discounts.

An impressive part of many Marine Corps operations, the UD-4L Cheyenne Dropship is a combat spacecraft designed to rapidly deliver troops and equipment from a carrier stationed in orbit, directly to a planet’s surface.

The ship measures approximately 8 inches long and is produced in a combination of die-cast and high-quality ABS plastic. This vessel is a limited edition collectible, only 3000 worldwide, and each ship comes with a numbered certificate of authenticity.

Avatar Ten Years On.....

In celebration of the New Year, we're taking a look at some of pop culture's biggest 2019 anniversary moments, starting with the release of "Avatar" nearly a decade ago. The sci-fi flick directed by James Cameron and starring Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2009. "Avatar" was nominated for nine Oscars and became the highest grossing film of all time, earning more than $2 billion at the box office!

Mecha Monday : No Quarter

Just Released on Wargame Vault! We are proud to announce another Two Hour Wargames Release! 5150-No-Quarter--Mecha-Combat https://www.wargamevault.com/…/5150-No-Quarter--Mecha-Combat Check it out!

From:
Alexander Williams I've played 5150: No Quarter.

Out of the box, as it were, it's an extremely lightweight stompy-robots mecha game. In structure it's surprisingly like the modern videogame adaption of Battletech, in that mecha move in order from the lightest class of f
ive to the heaviest class of five. Weapon load outs are significantly lighter and there is not a lot in the way of crunch, though putting it together with 5150:Star Army can get you about as much combined arms planet side military action as you can stand.

By default, mecha have either projectile weapons or beam weapons but not both. Unlike most of the other 5150 series, there are construction rules for point building your platforms.

If your vision of the mechs you want to put onto the battlefield are big and stompy, this is a pretty good core to build off of or use unchanged. If you're looking to do something more anime influenced like Gundams, this is probably not going to be enough about movement or crazy weapons. It's a flexible enough platform that you could build off of it for those effects but they don't come out of the box.

I actually wrote a free non-supplement, putting together a lot of the 5150 stuff with a focus on the mecha called The Hungry (http://squid-lord.blogspot.com/.../5150-hungry-combined...) which build out a full mercenary company, which might be of some interest if you want to know what the mecha look like in terms of design and some of what you can do with them. I also put together a bit of design work for playing the game in your choice of digital tabletop along with some notes on designing mecha in No Quarter (https://steemit.com/.../wargames-5150-gaea-s-worst...).

Mecha Monday by Spaceman Spiff

Fine work by Spaceman Spiff and the Planet of Paint
The big mech is the star here- a Bullshark mech from Strato Minis.
This beast is a 15mm mini, but it can fit nicely with my 10-12mm stuff.@SpacemanSpiffandthePlanetOfPaint

Now for the crab. This one came out of the Form2 in several separate parts.
The legs, body, turret, and cannon were all separate parts. There was a commander's
MG and a stowage cage for the rear of the turret, but the cage was too fragile and I
didn't feel like adding the MG.

Pearl Harbor Vets Remember

The attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise military strike by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii Territory, on the morning of December 7, 1941. The attack, also known as the Battle of Pearl Harbor, led to the United States' entry into World War II. The Japanese military leadership referred to the attack as the Hawaii Operation and Operation AI, and as Operation Z during its planning.
