"Barbara and I mourn the loss of a true American patriot and one of the great military leaders of his generation. A distinguished member of that 'Long Gray Line' hailing from West Point, Gen. Norm Schwarzkopf, to me, epitomized the 'duty, service, country' creed that has defended our freedom and seen this great nation through our most trying international crises. More than that, he was a good and decent man — and a dear friend. Barbara and I send our condolences to his wife, Brenda, and his wonderful family." — former President George H.W. Bush.

Tanker's Tuesday!
Thought it was past time to inaugurate my very own subject of the day, therefore without further adieu I present:Tanker's Tuesday! There is so much in my collection to choose from here but
being a bit of a traditionalist I thought it best to start at the beginning. Here are a few of my WWI French tanks, a St Chamond and a pair of Renault FT 17s. These are 15mm Miniature Figures Limited that I've had for years.

Prometheus
Prometheus is a 2012 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The film stars Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron.
After all the hype and bad press, I picked up the DVD and found
the film rather entertaining, it answered a few of the background
questions of the Alien universe. Far more (were deliberately) left
to be answered by subsequent films, over all on a 1 to 10 scale I
give it a 7.

Veterans Day
My thanks to my Grandfather, who escaped Nazi Germany and fought throughout the Pacific and in occupied Japan with the US Army, and to my great uncles on my mother's side that served in every service during WWII. To father and uncle that served in Korea, my youngest uncle (who is more of
a big brother to me) who served in Vietnam. Thank you also to all that served through out the cold
war and Desert Storm with me, and lastly to all those that have served and continue to serve in these troubled times, my thoughts hopes and prayers are with you all, as well as my profound gratitude...

Made in Germany, 1940-1945
The Second World War was a period of remarkable advances in
technology and many new weapons were invented during this
period, some of which entered production and actually saw service
in the war, while others never left the drawing board.

Nihon Kaigun
At the beginning of the Second World War, the Japanese Navy (or, in the Japanese language, Nihon Kaigun, or even Teikoku Kaigun, the Imperial Navy) was arguably the most powerful navy in the world. Its naval aviation corps, consisting of 10 aircraft carriers and 1500 topnotch aviators, was the most highly trained and proficient force of its kind. Its 11 (soon to be 12) battleships were among the most powerful in the world. And its surface forces, armed with the superb 24" Type 93 (Long Lance) torpedo, were incomparable night fighters. How and why this impressive force was eventually crushed by the U.S. Navy is a subject that has fascinated me practically forever. Maybe I'm just intrigued by the underdog. In any case, this page is devoted to the proud navy that lost the Pacific War.

Coming Up For Air!
Yes I'm Alive! After the last spat of Ebay purchases I've
been reorganizing and painting up units that are inspired
by my buddy John A, theNeo Basileia ton Rhomaioi (NRE)

basically Byzantines in space. The cammo scheme is his and
was his done on his 25mm forces. I've always liked it and
thought it would serve two purposes for me, one representing
Johns forces by being a useful counter to my own BEE forces,
and two being that my forces are painted in green schemed
US MERDOC cammo, his gray, it goes back to the old beloved
