On Saturday, 25 February 2012 our good friend Tim Gow shared a
Soviet 152mm Howitzer he knocked together out of an old Matchbox gun:

I recalled having the frame for the very same Matchbox Gun but
I'd removed the tube to put on something else. Well I decided to
bodge up something, using a German gun tube, American wheels
and base plate (a steal washer) and an Italian crew (old Atlantic
figures) thus making my version of the international gun,. I
painted these up for a small African imaginary nation that
I'll do as the mood strikes me.
Despite its origins the resulting gun does not look like a 'lash up'; it actually looks like it would work!
ReplyDeleteWell done for producing something so realistic from such humble and diverse origins.
All the best,
Bob
Glad i've inspired you - good work!
