Just picked up the DVD last night out of the $5.00 bin at
Wal-Mart, one of my all time favorite inaccurate WWII
movies ! Loved it as a kid, but now the M47s being passed
off as King Tigers just makes me chuckle...)
Still a good old film, despite all the dodgy bits. And I'd much rather see a real M47 with black crosses painted on the turret than a cartoon. Incidentally Don, my copy of the DVD cost £2.99 - so slightly cheaper than yours!
Couldn't agree more, but there you go, the folly of youth :D
ReplyDeleteYou know a bit of CGI could fix that right up
ReplyDeleteYeah I know, even the movie Patton had allot of stand ins...)
ReplyDeleteYeah Bill like the stuff from the History channel Greatest Tank Battles

ReplyDeleteYeah I've been one upped once again Tim lol
ReplyDeleteThey could have put some plastic/sheet metal covers
on the M47s at least, as was
done on the Leo 1s on a "Bridge Too Far"
