Hannover CL.III

The Hannover CL.III was a German military aircraft of World War I. It was a two-seat multi-role aircraft, primarily used as a ground attack machine.

Like the other Hannover "light-C-class", or "CL" designated aircraft, it included an unusual biplanar tail, allowing for a greater firing arc for the tail gunner. Until the introduction of this model, such tails had only been used on larger aircraft. The Hannover CL.IIIa in WW1 Wings of Glory is presented in versions flown by Rudolf Hager/Otto Weber and Johan Baur/Georg von Hengel, as well a Luftstreitkr√§fte model.

Hanriot HD.1

The Hanriot HD.1 was a World War I single-seat fighter aircraft, combining clean lines with a light wing loading. Manufactured in France, the HD.1 was supplied to the Belgian and the Italian air forces, and it proved highly successful. It was flown by a number of the famous aces, such as Belgian Willy Coppens and Italians Mario Fucini and Silvio Scaroni.

Just need a scout plane....)

The Caproni Ca.3 was an Italian heavy bomber that saw extensive use against the Central Powers forces. It was used from 1916 until the end of war by Italy, United Kingdom, France and USA. One of the most effective bombers of any air force during WWI, the Ca.3 was a wooden three-engine biplane, armed with twin 6.5 mm or 7.7 mm machine guns and 1,760 lb of bombs.

Tanker's Tuesday : U.S. Army's New 84-Ton Prototype Ground Combat Vehicle

The Ground Combat Vehicle is pretty much the opposite of the original plan to replace the Bradley. A high-concept proposal called Future Combat Systems aimed to make all U.S. Army vehicles lighter. But during the long ground wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (in which IEDs were the top cause of fatalities), it became clear clear that heavier, not lighter, was the better vehicle design. The U.S. canceled the Future Combat Systems program, and work on the GCV began in 2009. The Pentagon is scheduled to award the first contract to manufacture GCVs in 2019.

GZGs BIRTHDAY FREEBIES

Hi all, a quick update: If folks on here could do me the favour of spreading this around all the usual websites, blogs and various places where people may find it of interest, that would be very much appreciated as always!

UPDATE - TUESDAY 5th July 2016:
BIRTHDAY FREEBIES, from now until the weekend....

It's my Birthday this weekend, so to celebrate it I'm turning things round a bit - instead of people giving ME gifts, I will be giving YOU a little something extra if you place an order! For FIVE DAYS ONLY, from today (Tuesday 5th) to Midnight on Sunday 10th, if you place any order for at least £10 worth of goods (excluding shipping) and - this is the important bit - put a brief "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" message in the "comments" field of your order, then I will send you a free extra Birthday Gift packet with your order - mostly the free item(s) will be something relevant to the goods you've ordered, though I may also include the occasional out-of-production or novelty item if I feel like it (nothing naughty from our over-18 ranges, so don't worry about that). The amount of extra free stuff will be proportionate to the size of your order, but the item(s) will be of my choice - those of you who have had our Christmas freebie bags will know the kind of thing!
The offer closes on the dot of midnight on Sunday evening, by UK TIME, so please allow for the time difference if you're outside the UK.
Jon (GZG), 5th July 2016.

Tanker's Tuesday: Cruiser Tank Comet

The Cruiser Tank Comet (A34) was probably the best British tank of the Second World War and was a reliable cruiser tank armed with a high velocity 77mm gun. Unfortunately it entered service far too late to have any significant impact on the fighting, seeing combat for the first time after the Rhine crossings. It was rare amongst British tanks of the period in that it was purpose-built to carry its gun, rather than being an unsatisfactory conversion of an existing design,
